  • What is OrchideenPark Boarding House?
    Boarding House OrchideenPark is a serviced apartment development in one of Vienna's most beautiful and distinguished districts. With services one would expect to find in a hotel, Boarding House OrchideenPark provides an exclusive non-permanent residence in an environment which is just like a private home.
    Developed on the site of the historic Rothschild orchid gardens, amidst the gracious residences of Hohe Warte in Vienna's 19th district, OrchideenPark Boarding House offers 26 spacious apartments - ranging from 31m² - 59 m² - each with its own a terrace and garden, and furnished to the highest standards.
    The concierge team at the Service Center ensures a point of contact, and not only takes care of the building and its facilities, but also provides assistance in relation to many daily needs.

    Monday to Friday: 07:30 a.m. - 01:30 p.m. and from 02:00 p.m. - 07:00 p.m.; Saturday: 08:30 a.m. - 01:30 p.m.

 

  • How can I book a stay at OrchideenPark Boarding House?
    We will be pleased to accept telephone bookings on +43 (0)1 236 29 88 10, or by e-mail at concierge@orchideenpark.at
    Of course, you can also book directly via our website (please click online buchen for a direct link). You will be sent instant electronic confirmation of your mail.

 

  • Do I need a credit card for booking?
    In order to make an online booking you will need a valid credit card. 20% of the total amount shall be charged to your card upon confirmation of your booking.

 

  • Is it necessary to complete a lease agreement for each apartment?
    Our concierge team shall issue a lease agreement for every apartment. The signed agreement provides the basis for your reservation. Any deficiencies or defects in relation to the apartment will be recorded in writing upon hand-over of the apartment.

 

  • What are the terms of cancellation?
    Cancellation charges are as follows:
    - up to 20 days prior to the beginning of the lease: a handling fee of EUR 50.00
    - up to 14 days prior to the beginning of the lease: 30% of total overnight costs
    - up to 8 days prior to the beginning of the lease: 40% of total overnight costs - less than 8 days prior to the beginning of the lease: 50% of total overnight costs

 

  • What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in Monday to Friday is from 02:30 p.m. - 06:00 p.m., and from 09:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
Check-out Monday to Friday is from 08:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., and from 09:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

  • How do I pay?
    Payment for the first 30 nights is made directly at the time of check-in, prior to handover.
    In the event that you plan to stay less than 30 nights, the entire stay will be invoiced to you at the time of check-in. The cost of final cleaning shall also be charged when you move in.

 

  • Is cleaning included in the room rate?
    The room rate includes weekly cleaning and new laundry (exchange of linen and towels).
    The final cleaning of the entire apartment is not included, and is charged at a rate of EUR 62.00 per apartment; this fee will be billed at check-in.
    Cleaning takes place between 8:00 and 11:30 a.m. on weekdays, always eight days after your check-in. For example, if you check in on a Friday, the apartment will be cleaned on a Friday as well. In the event you arrive during the week-end or on a holiday, the cleaning will be on a Friday or Monday.

 

  • Are additional cleaning services available?
    If you wish to book additional cleaning services at your own expense, please contact our concierge team at +43 (0)1 236 29 88 10, or email concierge@orchideenpark.at for more details and prices.

 

  • What other features does Boarding House OrchideenPark offer?
    To ensure you a perfect stay, we offer you free access to our spacious gym, which is open 24 hours per day, seven days a week. You may also wish to relax in our spa facility with its saunas, steam bath and infrared cabin, all of which may be booked book via the OrchideenPark Boarding House intranet for EUR 8.00 per hour. You will find the sauna reserved for you and pre-heated for the appointed time. During the summer you are also free to use the beautiful outdoor pool and toddler pool, together with the adjacent lawn.

 

  • What are the opening hours of the pool?

In order to reduce noise levels, the outdoor pool is open from 08:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. between May and September.

 

  • Is there internet and television in the apartments?

OrchideenPark Boarding House apartments offer free W-LAN and satellite TV (Astra and Hotbird) with over 1,000 channels.

 

  • Is there a fully-equipped kitchen in each apartment?
    Each apartment boasts a modern, fully-fitted kitchen with a cooker, dinnerware and all necessary appliances, as well as a Nespresso coffee machine. Appliances which are not included in the inventory may be borrowed from the Service Center free of charge.

 

  • Is there a washing machine?
    There is no washing machine in the apartment; however, there is a 24-hour laundry room with two washing machines and two driers.
    Washing and drying cycles cost EUR 1.00 (payable with 50-cent coins or using a Quick-card). A drying rack, iron and ironing board may be borrowed from the Service Center free of charge. 

 

  •  Is it possible to book breakfast?
    There is no restaurant in the building, however, it is possible to have fresh bread delivered to your doorstep daily. You will also find a Nespresso coffee machine plus six portions of coffee and tea in the apartment. Further coffee capsules can be bought from the Service Center.

  • How safe and secure is OrchideenPark Boarding House?
    Many common areas of the building have video surveillance. In addition to which, all of our apartments have a safe and a burglar alarm system.

 

  • Is there secure parking?
    It is possible to book garage parking. For more details please contact our concierge team at the Service Center on +43 (0)1 236 29 88 10 or by email at concierge@orchideenpark.at

 

  • Are there shops and restaurants nearby?
    Supermarkets, banks and several restaurants are to be found in the vicinity of OrchideenPark Boarding House. A map is available via this link - Umgebungsplan - for your orientation. A list of nearby restaurants is also available upon request from the Service Center.

 

  • Where exactly is OrchideenPark Boarding House?
    OrchideenPark Boarding House is located in one of Vienna's most prestigious suburbs - Döbling, in the city's 19th district. There are many recreational amenities close by, such as a tennis court across the street, the Vienna Woods, and the typical Austrian wine taverns in nearby Grinzing. One of Vienna's two Japanese gardens is within easy walking distance and invites you to stroll in a relaxed ambience.

 

  • How do I reach the city center?
    OrchideenPark Boarding House is well-connected by Vienna's excellent public transport system (click the link: öffentliche Verkehrsnetz). The U4 metro station is just a few minutes walk away, while tram line D stops around the corner. Both services take you to the city center within just a few minutes.
